Tribute to Pier Paolo Pasolini in the Poster of the Itinerant Festival Dedicated to Emerging Cinema, Organized by the Cultural Association Aradia Productions
The Saturnia Film Festival, an itinerant event dedicated to emerging cinema organized by the cultural association Aradia Productions under the presidency of Antonella Santarelli and the artistic direction of director Alessandro Grande, is back once again. The eighth edition will take place from July 30 to August 3, 2025, once again transforming the squares of the most picturesque villages in Maremma. Five days of cinema, meetings, and discoveries, where the big screen will once again take center stage in a magical atmosphere in the squares of Manciano, Saturnia, Rocchette di Fazio, Montemerano, and Terme di Saturnia.
This year as well, the festival program includes two competitions dedicated to feature films and short films, enriched by special screenings and meetings with prominent guests.
The 2025 edition poster is signed by David Pompili, featuring an image that pays tribute to Pier Paolo Pasolini. The portrait of the director of *The Hawks and the Sparrows* and *Accattone* is inspired by one of the images created by Pompili for *Narni – Le Vie del Cinema*, an event launched in 1995 that named numerous streets and squares in the city after prominent figures of Italian post-war cinema.
Following the success of the previous edition, the Saturnia Pitch is also confirmed this year. This format is designed to foster encounters between directors and screenwriters with major Italian production companies. It provides an opportunity to present original film concepts to producers, editors, and industry professionals, with moments for discussion, masterclasses, and in-depth meetings on the various stages of film project development.
The two days dedicated to the pitch will take place on August 2 and 3, with the participation of prominent companies such as dispàrte, Indaco Film, Indigo Film, Gaumont, Mompracem, Wildside, Vivo Film, aiming to give voice to new stories and fresh perspectives on the world. Additionally, Rai Cinema and Medusa Film will be present, offering two masterclasses on distribution for the selected authors.
