Furthermore, the brand new Saturnia Pitch section has been announced<\/h2>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6601 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saturniafilmfestival.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Saturnia-Carlotta-Gamba.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"912\" height=\"552\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.saturniafilmfestival.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Saturnia-Carlotta-Gamba.jpg 912w, https:\/\/www.saturniafilmfestival.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Saturnia-Carlotta-Gamba-300x182.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.saturniafilmfestival.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Saturnia-Carlotta-Gamba-768x465.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 912px) 100vw, 912px\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>VII edition<\/strong> of the <strong>Saturnia Film Festival<\/strong> (July 31 &#8211; August 4, 2024), a traveling event through the most beautiful villages of Maremma, organized by the cultural association ARADIA PRODUCTIONS, under the presidency of Antonella Santarelli and the artistic direction of director Alessandro Grande, once again this year offers <strong>two Competitions<\/strong> dedicated to <strong>feature films and short films<\/strong>, with a strong emphasis on emerging and high-quality cinema.<\/p>\n<p>The program will offer the audience several evenings of great cinema enriched by <strong>meetings<\/strong> with the protagonists. For the Feature Film Competition, the following are expected: <strong>Barbara Ronchi<\/strong> with her latest work, <a href=\"https:\/\/cinecittanews.it\/santamaria-per-non-riattaccare-la-sofferenza-della-sola-voce-doveva-bucare-letere\/\"><em>Non riattaccare<\/em><\/a> by Manfredi Lucibello, acclaimed at the last Torino Film Festival; <strong>Piero Messina<\/strong> will present his second work, in Competition at the latest edition of the Berlin Festival, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/cinecittanews.it\/another-end-la-favola-sci-fi-di-piero-messina-in-concorso-alla-berlinale-74\/\">Another end<\/a><\/em>; also from Berlin comes the last of the films in Competition, <a href=\"https:\/\/cinecittanews.it\/margherita-vicario-un-film-pop-per-le-musiciste-dimenticate-dalla-storia\/\"><em><strong>Gloria!<\/strong><\/em><\/a> starring <strong>Carlotta Gamba<\/strong>, a magnetic performer in a captivating all-female musical work.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>short film selection<\/strong> will also be divided into three categories this year. For Fiction Italy: <em><strong>L\u2019acquario<\/strong><\/em> by Gianluca Zonta; <em><strong>Dive<\/strong><\/em> by Aldo Iuliano, presented at the last Venice Festival in the Horizons section, brilliantly lit by the photography of Daniele Cipr\u00ec; <em><strong>Easy In, Easy Out<\/strong><\/em> by Giovanni Boscolo.<\/p>\n<p>Among the films from <strong>abroad<\/strong>: <em><strong>Ivalu<\/strong><\/em> by Anders Walter and Pipaluk K. J\u00f8rgensen, a story of disappearance in the vast nature of Greenland <strong>nominated for the 2023 Oscars<\/strong>; <em><strong>Things unheard of<\/strong><\/em> by Ramazan K\u0131l\u0131\u00e7, <strong>awarded at the Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival<\/strong>, in which a Kurdish girl tries to bring a smile back to her grandmother&#8217;s face after her television, her only window to the world, was destroyed; <em><strong>Lip Virgin<\/strong><\/em> by Shimrit Eldis, where the director tells the story of a 13-year-old girl&#8217;s quest for the perfect first kiss.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be space for <strong>animation<\/strong> with <em><strong>Everywhere<\/strong><\/em> by Franc Planas, a reflection on life and the importance of moments to cherish; <em><strong>Spring Waltz<\/strong><\/em>, a love story between a man and a woman divided by a wall who refuse to be stopped by barriers, directed by <strong>Stefano Lorenzi and Clelia Catalano<\/strong>; <em><strong>The Black (re)Cat<\/strong><\/em>, a stop-motion animation adaptation of one of Edgar Allan Poe&#8217;s most famous tales, <em>The Black Cat<\/em>, directed by <strong>Paolo Gaudio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Short Film Jury<\/strong> is chaired by <strong>Paolo Orlando<\/strong> (Medusa Film distribution director), with Manuela Rima (Rai Cinema), Mario Mazzetti (journalist and critic), Mirella Cheeseman (Wildside), Alessandro Amato (Disparte).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the two Competitions, the program will be enriched by <strong>previews and special screenings<\/strong> as well as <strong>meetings and conversations<\/strong> with guests, and the brand new section <strong>Saturnia Pitch<\/strong>, a project designed for industry professionals and created as a moment of professional development and growth.
